For this presentation students are displaying examples of a ten-pointed star-polygon pattern. A common pattern found in Islamic mosaics and pattern art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students created two examples. One example followed the instructions provided on the Crayola worksheet on creating the ten-pointed star-polygon pattern and the other example was a design of their own using the same template, but the configurations of where the vertices lined up were of the students own choosing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Although this second shape was open to the student\u2019s curiosity, its formation was still based on the mathematical principle of the original design.<\/p>\n\n\n
