The fan fold is a basic step in Origami. Many of us have utilized this fold whenever we’ve beating back the summer heat with a sheet of paper. Students took this a step further by using the technique to divide their paper into equal parts before cutting it into strips.
Using the Henderson Hammock Elementary Art YouTube channel students were able to view the tutorial as a class and were able to construct their own Fan Fold Snake.
Students were given the choice to create the head of the snake however they chose and to decorate it in their own expressive manner.
